Call for Expression of Interest (EOI) to Conduct Gender Responsive Pedagogy Training for Master Trainers

The Civil Society Action Coalition on Education For All (CSACEFA), with support from Education Out Loud (EOL), a project of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and implemented by Oxfam Denmark Regional Management Unit in Uganda, invites qualified consultants/firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) to conduct a Gender Responsive Pedagogy Training for Master Trainers.

Project Background

The Education Out Loud Project seeks to reduce the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria, particularly marginalized and vulnerable girls. One of the critical barriers identified is teachers’ limited capacity to adopt inclusive and gender-responsive teaching practices, which contributes to learner dropout and low enrolment.

To address this, CSACEFA will organize a three-day Gender Responsive Pedagogy Training in Abuja, Nigeria, bringing together participants from diverse social, political, and religious backgrounds across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. The training aims to strengthen teacher capacity to create inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive learning environments for pupils and students of Basic and Secondary schools in Nigeria.

Objectives of the Assignment

The consultant/firm is expected to:

  1. Develop and deliver a three-day training curriculum on Gender Responsive Pedagogy tailored for Nigerian education contexts.
  2. Facilitate interactive training sessions for selected Master Trainers drawn from across Nigeria.
  3. Provide practical tools, resources, and strategies for integrating gender-responsive approaches into classroom practices.
  4. Produce a comprehensive training report with recommendations for scale-up.

Expected Outcomes

  • At least 30 Master Trainers from six geopolitical zones trained on Gender Responsive Pedagogy.
  • Strengthened capacity of Master Trainers to cascade training at state and community levels.
  • Practical framework for gender-responsive teaching documented and shared.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in training teachers/educators at national or regional level.
